Microsoft is beta testing a new feature for Copilot that lets the chatbot driven by AI analyze and summarize files. Users may now share files with the chatbot with ease thanks to the additional capabilities.
The latest version of Copilot, first noticed by well-known hacker Leopeva64 on X, has a new “Add a file” option that lets users transfer files straight from their local computers. The chatbot may then read the contents of the file and respond to questions based on that information.
In addition to providing summaries of data, the AI-driven assistant may assist you in locating a particular piece of information and even request additional details about the subject. People have been utilizing chatbots to summarize and comprehend vast amounts of data without having to manually go through it ever before OpenAI introduced ChatGPT.
This is quite helpful for folks handling a lot of data, but it might not be helpful for those who don’t give the chatbot documents. It appears that the Canary version of Microsoft Edge has the capability to analyze and summarize data using Copilot; however, there is no word on when this feature will be made available to all users.
Since the release of Copilot last year, Microsoft has been continuously developing and testing new features for it. The tech behemoth revealed that Copilot, which turned one earlier this month, can now modify AI graphics created using Designer.
